The MedRx is a video otoscope.
​A dog's ear canal is L-shaped & much longer than the ear canal of a human.  So, this instrument not only allows us to see (and take pictures of) the canal and ear drum, it also allows us to flush debris from hard to reach places, enabling medication to reach all the way down.
Dr. Hines also uses it to remove polyps from the ear.
