"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."

At Lynn Veterinary, we recommend a series of puppy vaccinations, each given a month apart to prevent such diseases as Canine Distemper, Parvovirus and Bordatella (Kennel Cough).
A single vaccine alone will not mount an adequate immune response to keep your puppy safe against these common diseases.
We also recommend vaccinating against Leptospirosis (a disease transmitted by wild life) and Lyme Disease (transmitted by ticks).

At each puppy visit, we will examine and weigh your pup, give it a dewormer, and offer flea and heartworm preventatives.

At 3 months of age, or older, your pet needs a Rabies Vaccine that is required by IN state law.

When your pup is 5-6 months old, we recommend having him or her neutered or spayed.
*Along with the obvious advantage of not reproducing, spaying and neutering offer many health benefits - including dramatically lowering your pet's risk of certain types of cancer as adults.
*Younger pets recover from these surgeries more easily than older pets, and the cost is generally lower for young pets.
*So, please consider having your puppy spayed or neutered at a young age.
